Kari is a Resident-in-Counseling currently working towards professional licensure. She holds a Master’s degree, M.S. Ed, in clinical mental health counseling at Old Dominion University. In addition to counseling individuals, couples and families, some of her interests include: children’s issues, attachment, assessment, depression, anxiety, mood disorders and grief.
She uses strength-based approaches to positively provide therapy integrated with foundational beliefs of the Christian faith. She incorporates evidenced based practices of solution focused therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) as she works alongside clients in reaching their goals.
Kari’s experience includes working with diverse people groups. As a former teacher, she has experience working with children and adolescents in school settings. Her experience also includes working with children with special needs and their families.
